Introduction

With this project I want to examine whether Rugby League, American Football and Rugby Union (a sport which is now offered at I.S.D for 6 to 18 year olds) are becoming too dangerous for an adolescent's brain and spinal cord. With my website, I will look at cases in each sport where players sustained life changing injuries to their spinal cords making them paraplegics. I will also examine cases where players playing each of the sports actually died playing the sport and the measures the respective sports have taken to address any perceived dangers. I will also examine statistiacal evidence about how Rugby Union, Rugby League and American Football compare to other sports and non sport activities. Finally I will see if any trend exists between the data.
